Minneapolis Auditorium was built in 1927 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was the Home of the Minneapolis Lakers from 1947 to 1960. During that time the Lakers won 5 championships.  The arena's capacity was 10,000 people. The stadium was demolished in 1989 and replaced with a new convention center.

The LA Sports Memorial Arena was the Lakers home when they moved from Minneapolis to LA. The Arena has a capacity of 16,161. The Lakers played in this building until 1967. The building was opened in 1949. The arena is located near the campus of USC and is frequently used in movies and commercials.

The Great Western Forum, originally just The Forum was built by then Laker owner Jack Cooke Kent. Jack was having problems with the owners of the LA Sports Memorial Arena so he built his own arena. 70 percent of the seats where in between the hoops and no seat was more then 170 feet from the court, The Great Western Forum had a capacity of 17,505. The Lakers called the Forum home from when it opened in 1967 until 1999. They won a total of 6 championships in the building.
Staples Center was opened in 1999. Staples Center has a capacity of 18,997. In the first 3 years in the building the Lakers won 3 championships. Staples is built in Downtown Los Angeles, overlooked by the nearby high rises.
