Luke is 27 years old, 6 foot eight and 232 pounds. He is the son of former Boston Celtic and Portland Trail Blazer great Bill Walton.
Luke grew up in San Diego, attending University of San Diego High School. Luke then went to Arizona where he was a teammate and close friend to New Jersey Net Richard Jefferson.
The Lakers selected luke as the 32nd overall draft pick in 2003. Luke quickly earned more minutes then any rookie had played under Coach Phil Jackson with his ability to see the floor and score. Luke is the first rookie since Majoc Johnson to have 10 or more assists in a playoff game.
