Jordan Farmar was born on November 30, 1986 in Los Angeles, California. Farmar attended  Birmingham High School before transfering to Taft High School. At Taft he scored 54 points in a single game and averaged 27.4 pts and 6.5 assists per game.
Jordan then went to UCLA. At UCLA he led the team to the NCAA National Championship where they lost. Jordan Farmar declared for the NBA draft and was taken at 26th by the Lakers.
Farmar joined Luke Walton as the only rookies to get much playing time under Coach Phil Jackson. He has played well and has a natural understanding for the game and the triangle offense.
Jordan became the first player to play in a NBDL game and a NBA game on the same day which he did both on April 1, 2007 and April 3, 2007.
