Andrew Bynum was born on October 27, 1987 in Plainsboro, New Jersey.  Bynum attended St. Joseph High School and as a senior averaged 22 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 blocks a game.
Andrew Bynum was selected as the 10th pick by the Lakers in the 2005 NBA draft.  Andrew is the youngest player ever drafted, only 17 at the time. He will also remain the youngest player drafted because of the new NBA rules, forcing players to attend one year of college.
Bynum has progressed quicker then anyone imagined with the help of special assistant coach/ mentor Kareem Abdul Jabbar.  The Lakers were forced to start Bynum for the majority of the season and he has shown signs of becoming a dominate force in the near future.
